3 Ways Give Back to Customers for the Holidays

“I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.” – Maya Angelou

Giving is often better than receiving, and the holiday season is the best time to exercise that bit of wisdom. There are so many ways to give back to customers for the holidays – but that’s the issue. Where do you start? How much is too much, and how much is enough?

Worry not. Here are 3 ways to give back to customers for the holidays without breaking the bank.

3 Ways to Give Back to Customers for the Holidays

1. Send a note with a special promo after the holidays

After the holidays are over, there’s often a feeling of being let down or that all the fun has come to an end too quickly. You can do your part to manage that post-holiday feeling by sending a kind note with a special promotion after the holidays. Send it right after Christmas to arrive in time to wish your customers and clients a happy new year – and boost January sales with your special promotion!

2. Offer free shipping during the holiday season

Paying for dozens of gifts for friends, family, and coworkers is taxing enough. If you can manage it, offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount – usually around $30 – to give back to customers for the holidays and make the blow on their wallet a little bit softer. They’ll appreciate it and many will make additional purchases to meet the $30 minimum!

3. Include a free gift with every purchase over a certain amount

Like free shipping, potential customers who are browsing your site are more likely to buy when you’re offering a free gift with purchase. If you offer the gift to those who spend a certain amount, such as $50, you ensure a minimum amount of sales and know that most customers will typically spend more than that. You get the pleasure of including that free gift with every qualifying purchase and receiving a huge Thank You from your customers. It’s the perfect way to give back to customers this season!
