Call Forwarding Instructions

How-to Manual for Call Forwarding
At Conversational we have many clients forwarding their calls for reception services from all sorts of carriers and types. For this reason, we have designed a quick how-to manual to assist our clients in forwarding their lines correctly and as hassle free as possible.
If you should still have any issues, please reach out to our support team at support@conversational.com or by calling 855-933-3826. It is also suggested you check with your carrier support as in some cases your account may need to have call forwarding enabled.
AT&T
Dial *72 or 72# and listen for dial tone
Enter the area code and number you want to forward your call to
Wait for the confirmation tone; after the tone the system will automatically place a call to the number. Once the forward to party answers the call the feature is activated.

Verizon
Dial *72
Enter the area code and number you want to forward your call to
Wait for the confirmation tone; after the tone the system will automatically place a call to the number. Once the forward to party answers the call the feature is activated.

Century Link
Dial *72 or 72# and listen for dial tone
Listen for the stutter dial tone followed by a regular dial tone
Enter the area code and number you want to forward your call to and the system will automatically place a call to the number. Once the forward to party answers the call the feature is activated

Sprint
To activate call forwarding, at the dial tone, dial *72.
Immediately enter the 10-digit forwarding number.
- After the confirmation tone is heard, hang up the phone.
Call forwarding is now activated.
- To deactivate call forwarding, from the dial tone, dial *720.

Fairpoint Communications
Dial the number you want the calls to forward to, if no one answers dial the number again and listen for the stutter tone
Hang up the call and dial *72 to now activate the forwarding
Listen for the Stutter tone and then hang up

Frontier
Pick up the line and listen for the dial tone
Dial 72, when you hear the second dial tone enter the number you wish your calls to forward to
Once the line is picked up this activates the forwarding
You will get a confirmation tone to indicate forwarding is successful.

AT&T
Dial **21*, followed by the 10-digit number you wish to forward the calls to, then dial #.
Push the Call, Send, Talk, or Receiver icon.
Your wireless phone displays a confirmation message when Call Fowarding activates.

Verizon
Dial *72
Dial the number you wish your calls to forward to
Press the call button and wait for the confirmation tone or message

T-Mobile
From the home screen select menu and scroll to settings
Select call forwarding and select voice calls
Select all voice calls and then select activate
Choose “Forward to another number “
Select new number, enter the number you wish to forward to
Select options then Done. Select OK

Sprint
Unconditional Call Forwarding
- Press *72 from the phone, followed by 10-digit forwarding number.
- Press Talk.
- “The calling feature has been activated” or alert tones are heard when the call forwarding is activated.
Conditional Call Forwarding—No Answer
- Press *73, followed by 10-digit forwarding number.
- Press TALK.
- “The calling feature has been activated” or alert tones are heard when the call forwarding is activated.
Conditional Call Forwarding—Busy
- Press *74, followed by 10-digit forwarding number.
- Press TALK.
- “The calling feature has been activated” or alert tones are heard when the call forwarding is activated.

US Cellular
- Press *71 on your U.S. Cellular phone.
- Enter "1" and then the phone number where you want calls to be forwarded. Remember to put the area code with this number.
- Press the "Send" button on your phone
- Listen for the tones that confirm your call forwarding status.

Google Voice
(It is appreciated you call in to coordinate the verification call with Conversation
Go to Google Voice and at the top right of the window click on the gear icon
Select settings
Click add another phone, enter the name for the phone / the number and select the phone type
Click save
A verify your phone POP UP will appear with a verification code
Click connect and Google Voice will call the number you are verifying
When prompted enter the verification code to complete the process.
Google Voice offers many versions to their software so these are just a standard guide and some settings may vary between versions.
Grasshopper
Go to your extensions tab and choose which extension to set up for.
Once you have the extension added you can set up call forwarding.
Click add a forwarding number to add the number you wish the calls to forward to.
Next you will see the options
- Ensure call announce and asking for caller’s name is NOT SELECTED
Continue and click add this number.

Ring Central
By default, each extension has a 3 pre-labelled forwarding number slots for the users non Ringcentral work /home or Mobile numbers
Enter the forwarding number in the selected spot and enable it by turning the Active switch on
Set the Ring duration to maximum and click save

Vonage
Dial *72 from your Vonage phone and listen for the prompt
Enter the 10-digit forwarding number
Press 1 to confirm and 2 to enter another number
